They said they would remove mid range and only leave close and long range. I personally wouldn't because I don't like pets but powers who do have pets have that option. I never said to changw roles while in combat. We need to use movement and iconic powers but currently the 1234 setup and AM are the way to go and they limit your freedom of "play your way" because honestly its the opposite. I want to have fun using other powers besides the one you chose at the start of your creation. I don't want to have the same loadout like everyone else just to maximize my damage potential. In one instance long battles were favored with dot powers while other instance were in favor of burst type. The cooldown duration is actually fine (and i think it got lowered a while back) ”There's no such thing as balance. What I agree on is, that the change of armories could be way more smooth. ↑ “ Because balance would be waaaaaaaay more complicated then. The cooldown duration is actually fine (and i think it got lowered a while back) Then every1 would run with sroc/earth to have double pets on the field. For example a troll/dps changing armory for high PoT (due to vita) or SC and then chaning back to continue dps. Switching between loadouts (so also between roles) would be too much during bossfights and making them too easy.

pc player here ) then they really should change armories. If you wan to work with the D-pad (and i think the shoulders to get access to the armory menu.

sometimes I wished for a 7th powerslot on my loadout, but it's actually fine, IMO.Īlso I don't see any big/real reason to do that after all those years acutally. by much.Īlso I never really saw the need of that. For nature i.e it would be animal forms, for electric it would be its amperage powers.īecause balance would be waaaaaaaay more complicated then. Well in one loadout you can set your dots then switch loadouts WHILE in combat and begin your burst or whatever style you like. How many threads or players have you seen talking about switching armories for different encounters? A lot! But all that is out the question due to the restriction.ĭot powers such as nature and electric focus on dot powers. I personally detest pets but hey that's a pretty good idea if DCUO considered the possibility. Just like ESO, they have pets and they are able to stay on the field even if you swap your loadout. There's a lot that can make armory so much fun but its restriction of not being used while in combat is really hindering its potential. Mepps even necro the armory thread saying it's still good. That's one way to incorporate more loadout flexibility.

I would love to see armory not be restricted while in combat. But that's beside the point in my opinion. My idea isn't really an idea simply to utilize the same concept as the trinkets and items which allowed for use of four items or trinkets.

One can also say one could be for close range or far range. ↑ “ I think the real question is do we really NEED more powers than what we have room for? I would welcome the addition to have some extra HoTs to throw around! Whats so hard about having additional slots for powers? ”I think the real question is do we really NEED more powers than what we have room for? I would welcome the addition to have some extra HoTs to throw around! Also what's your idea for opening that option up with every button on the controller already utilized? Now we have the ability to have more than one trinket. I remember back in the ancient times when we only had soda colas and trinkets. Using armory to have a different loadout while fighting doesn't cut it because you can't use it unless you are out of combat. It helps have a variety in your gameplay instead of having the same loadout everyone would use to maximize your role. You can go ahead and qoute if you like but what I liked about ESO is that you can press the left D-pad and have a different loadout. I don't know who said it, maybe it was Mepps. ↑ “ Someone on the forums said loadout swapping or having an additional power loadout is not possible on consoles due to the limited buttons on a controller.
